Approaching cinema during his studies, and subsequently thanks to Roger Corman’s factory, Jack Hill debuted as a director with his horror Spider Baby or, the Maddest Story Ever Told (1967). In 1971, The Big Doll House initiated his collaboration with actress Pam Grier. After The Big Bird Cage (1972), Hill reached blaxploitation, becoming one of its main filmmakers, with Coffy and Foxy Brown (1974).
