Biography

British cinematographer Peter Suschitzky made a name for himself in the mid-1960s in the UK as the youngest cameraman to make a feature film at that time (It Happened Here). He's cooperated with directors typical for their documentary approach and use of non-actors.

He belongs to the world of today's elite cinematographers. His filmography includes over forty feature films across all genres, including numerous timeless, iconic pictures. Highly significant is his long-term collaboration with David Cronenberg. Since 1988, he has made eleven films with this director, including their latest Maps to the Stars.

Peter Suschitzky received the prestigious Angénieux award at the 2016 Cannes festival, and he will be awarded the Kristián Award for his Contribution to World Cinema at the IFF Prague – Febiofest.
