Fang Song

Song Fang studied film directing at Belgium’s Institut National Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle et des Techniques de Diffusion and completed a master’s degree in the same subject at the Beijing Film Academy. In 2009 her short film Gao Bie (Good-bye) won second prize in the Cinéfondation at the Festival de Cannes. In 2012 she directed her first feature film, Jiyi wang zhe wo (Memories Look at Me), winner of the Best First Feature Film award at Locarno Festival, amongst others. Ping Jing carried off the CICAE Art Award in the Forum section of the Berlin Festival.
