Saara Cantell (1968) is a Finnish screenwriter and director. She earned a doctoral degree in fine arts at Aalto University. Her rich filmography includes short films, TV series and live-action feature films, e.g. the award-winning children's film Unna and Nook (Unna ja Nook, 2006), the dramas Heartbeats (Kohtaamisia, 2009) and Stars Above (Tähtitaivas talon yllä, 2012), and the comedy The Two and Only (Ainoat oikeat, 2013).
