Biography

Filmmaker, programmer and film lecturer. Between 2013 and 2016 he was artistic director of the Punto de Vista Festival in Navarre. He made his directorial debut in 2012 with Emak Bakia baita, a documentary about the search for the house on the Basque coast where Man Ray shot his film Emak Bakia. This work was selected at the international festivals of Buenos Aires (BAFICI), Edinburgh, Telluride, San Sebastian, Shanghai, Yamagata, DocLisboa, San Francisco and Denver, and won 17 awards. His second feature film, Zumiriki (2019), had its international premiere in the Orizzonti section of the Mostra de Venezia and won the award for best non-fiction film in the New Waves section of the Seville Festival. Zinzindurrunkarratz (2023) had its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival.
