Biography
After working as an assistant director, he debuted with Mist Whispers Like Women (1982). The nineties would see his biggest hits, with films like White Badge (1992). Following a long hiatus, in 2011 he returned with Unbowed and the documentary Ari Ari the Korean Cinema.
