Today’s consecrated journalist Ajoy Bose was a rebellious teenager in Calcutta in love with the Beatles when they arrived in India. Together with cultural researcher Peter Compton, he co-directs this documentary film based on his own book ‘Across the Universe: The Beatles in India’. A work that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the quartet’s historic trip from Liverpool to Rishikesh, which marked a before and after in their understanding of music and life.
