Lucia, a young nurse in São Paulo, senses trouble in the air and an irrational fear sets in about her late-term pregnancy. As a result, she finds herself drawn to a local evangelical church and Nicole, one of its members. All the while, fires rage in the Amazon hundreds of miles away.
