English River is a skillfully made documentary, full of beautiful sceneries, enriched by a pleasant soundtrack and accompanied by the mesmerizing voice of Willem Dafoe. Considering the current state of our environment, there is no shortage of environmentalism with the imaginary index finger raised. It is admirable that this project was created during the restrictions due to covid, with the collaboration of people from different parts of the world. ()

English "The water flows downward. It's wet." William Dafoe will be right back with more details! Without the commentary this would have scored one star higher, because the shot where the camera follows the stream of water flowing down the steep cliffs is simply something you will want to see in the theater. English The Anglo-American poet W. H. Auden once said: "Thousands have lived without love, not one without water" - The Australian filmmakers probably couldn't have chosen better opening words for their documentary, which offers a fascinating look at planet Earth crisscrossed with life-giving rivers. It is an almost meditative audiovisual experience, enhanced by the haunting voice of Willem Dafoe as the narrator. However, as it is the case with similar projects, the movie also contains a warning subtext. (85%) ()
