The Last Chase

In the near future, evil fascists have forced everyone to recycle and drive electric cars. Hero Lue Majors (TV's Six Million Dollar Man, The Fall Guy), an ex-race car driver, decides to make a statement by pulling out his old hidden race car, a 917-10 Porsche, and driving cross-country at 150 mph (he siphons gas from old gas station pumps). Taking along a young reform school geek (Chris Makepeace-My Bodyguard, Meatballs), he drives for the Holy Land - the Free State of California! Of course, hot on his trail is Burgess Meredith (Rocky, Clash of the Titans) who has been hired to shoot him down with a fighter jet, which , too, are virtually extinct.
