Animal presents the lives of several animal species in a nice and engaging way and has a more mature feel compared to Wild Babies (also from Netflix). From a technical point of view, it is a well-crafted documentary, also informative, but lacks the greater impact that BBC documentaries tend to have. Nevertheless, it is an above average project, which benefits from a non-monotone narration. Of the individual episodes, I was most impressed by Octopus, which at times had an almost horror-like feel.
