One of the most popular detective series in France, which has been accumulating one season after another for several decades. The beloved Yves Rénier still appears in the main role, but otherwise, the whole project changes over time. Basically, each series carries different characteristics and changes according to market needs. Given that Rénier has gained influence over the final form of the series with its growing popularity, he has been involved in the script in recent seasons. When the authors felt the need to appeal to a younger audience, Rénier toughened up and changed his wardrobe and vocabulary. I am not one of those nostalgics who praise the beginnings of the series - on the contrary, I feel that in the last season, the writer is trying to go deeper, addressing social and political topics, and that's precisely when Police Commissioner Moulin raises the bar.
