English I'm getting the sense that the quality of individual episodes is picking up as the second season draws to a close. What's crystal clear to me is that this uptick in quality is largely due to feeling more of Michael Connelly's influence in these later episodes. Now, I'm not here to throw shade on the writers or say everything they do falls short; it's just evident that they're grappling with the need to incorporate contemporary themes — like political correctness and gender balance — into the series, which often detracts from its overall quality without adding much value for me. That being said, the eighth episode was definitely a standout, and that's something to celebrate. / Lesson learned: Sometimes the safest ride is a pedal car — no explosions, no fuel or battery woes, plus it's a win for the environment.
