Meet high school student Sam (Hilary Duff), who scrubs floors at a diner, copes with her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and all the while dreams of Princeton (the perfect spot for a would-be princess to find a prince). But maybe she has a Prince Charming already: her anonymous e-mail buddy (Chad Michael Murray), who arranges to meet her at the Halloween dance. It was not missing much and I would have been very satisfied. It was only missing for the director, as a result of the popularity of various comedies famous for Jennifer Coolidge, to slightly limit the scope of her role, or rather to tame her. Not every time she appears in the movie, it has to be the twelfth version of Stifler's mom, because her comedic creation here is awkwardly. And that really saddens me, because I really liked Hilary Duff for the first time in her career, and no one can match Chad in the teen genre.

An original take on a well-known fairy tale, led by the beautiful Hilary Duff, who is perfect for this type of film. A romantic film that every young girl must love. A beautiful and naive plot, romance at its best, and cute little faces...and that's what it's all about.
