The New Greatness Case

The teenager Anya enjoyed discussing Russian politics and social issues on the Internet, when a secret agent infiltrates their chat group and gets the group to rent a location, and twist the discussions and protests in a more aggressive way. It resulted in police storming their homes to arrest and jail the teenagers, accusing them of plotting to overthrow the government and fabricating charges of extremism and terror. With hidden camera footage, and an intimate relationship with the main characters, director Anna Shishova shows the complete oppression of today's Russia, and how young, free-thinking people are seen as a threat to the government.
