Shigeki (Rentaro Mikuni), Tosuke and Mayumi are all aspiring actors that belong to a small theatre company called the Van Verre. But ironically, what goes on backstage is a lot more dramatic than what goes on onstage. The company, was facing bankruptcy. In attempt to redraw a crowd, troupe leader Hayashi tries to persuade Mayumi to strip tease. (Nikkatsu)
