English A very successful film, and also the second collaboration between Charles Bronson and Tom Gries after Breakheart Pass, which is definitely worth seeing. Bronson plays another good guy doing the right thing, Robert Duvall languishes in a Mexican jail, not all of the plans work out right away, and the hero, who initially threw himself into danger for money, gradually discovers a different, nobler motivation. In short, a classic straightforward film from the 1970s, but one that runs like clockwork, is both entertaining and suspenseful, and contains many memorable scenes (the final fight, which ends with a very rough moment, is just one of many). Oh, and Jerry Goldsmith’s score is just amazing! ()
