English Taiwanese film has strong filmmakers and Edward Yang is clearly one of them. In three hours, it manages to present the fates of people in a way that few can achieve, and in good image quality and overall interesting stylization. You feel like every piece of clothing was carefully chosen to fit perfectly into the given scene, not to mention the actors who are natural in their non-acting. ()
