Oskar´s boarding house is located in a perfectly ordinary holiday village which consists of small, ugly houses, a miniature golf course and a café. This unassuming settlement is situated incongruously beside the mighty sea, and Rune Runeberg, a perfectly ordinary family man, arrives there with his perfectly ordinary family. The holiday might have been an ordinary one as well, had it not been for Petrus, a young magician who turns up to play such tricks on the life of the middle-aged man that nothing is ever the same again. Love, manifesting itself in a beautiful and crazy way, breaks all barriers in Like It Never Was Before. It is a film about everything you wanted to become, but didn't, and anything you dreamed of, but never dared to do. It is about freedom and madness, magic and love. (official distributor synopsis)
