Plots(1)

This film takes place in a small French town in the thirties and is about two friends. Their series of adventures is recalled by Panier. Peluque is an empty-pocketed philosopher and at the same time a determined dowry-hunter. He is engaged to two girls simultaneously, but he carefully avoids his former love, Pomponette, for the sake of Lucie (or, more precisely, for the sake of the father-in law thought to be rich). By the time it turns out that Lucie is also waiting for an eligible husband, even Pomponette leaves him. Different faces receive serious slaps, and finally the beaten up and twice refused Peluque is looking for new love. (official distributor synopsis)
