Count Duckula is an egotistical vegetarian vampire duck who lives in a castle that can travel anywhere he wants to go. He lives with his servants: Nanny, his large and stupid nanny who always has her arm in a sling, and Igor, his evil butler. While Nanny accidentally destroys furniture and Igor attempts to turn the broccoli chomping duck to the dark side, a vampire hunter lurks around with a wooden stake-in-a-gun and unattractive intentions. English Castle Duckula! Home for many centuries to a terrible dynasty of vicious vampire ducks. The Counts of Duckula! A “horror" version of DuckTales - nice vampire duck Duckula loves ketchup above all other things and here we get some tales involving his similarly weird, dark chums... Cute, funny, magical and incredibly entertaining. ()

English Of off all those duck spin-offs, I definitely like Count Duckula better than, for example, Darkwing Duck. Legend has it that years ago, the TV station purchased just 6 random episodes that were unprecedentedly engaging, and yet a sequel was nowhere in sight. Today, the old cartoon is a cherished legend that has sadly returned in a stripped-down DVD release, but this is the first step towards its rediscovery. So if you're in a gloomy mood and you’ve already seen all versions of Dracula, go for the undead Duck for a change. It'll be a nice change. "*That*, Nanny, is the Sahara!" - "Well, I knew it wasn't broadloom!" ()
