Michelle is a struggling comedian in Los Angeles who is lured home to Atlanta for the holidays under false pretenses. Her over-the-top sister, Andrea, claimed it was a family emergency, and while their doomsday prepping father and disabled brother Mark certainly stretch the definition of eccentric, it's tough to say if they're actually doing ok. But since she's already back home, she decides to make the best of it and ride it out. As they all prepare for a final Christmas together in their family home, Michelle struggles to redefine her relationships with her father and two siblings. She's been away for so long, everything has been on pause, and now they're picking up exactly where they left off. When the depth of her dad's unconventional lifestyle is brought into full focus, she has to face a life-changing decision about caring for her brother. Does she want to be the person she has become in Los Angeles, or is she ready to reinvent herself yet again? (Cinequest Festival)
