Master of crime-solving Mr. Wong (Boris Karloff) cleans up a dirty case involving the murder of shipping mogul Cyrus P. Wentworth (Melvin Lang) after his ship The Wentworth Castle goes down in flames, resulting in many lost lives. Pigheaded police captain Bill Street (Grant Withers) is certain the culprit is Dick Fleming (William Stelling), the son of Wentworth's biggest competitor; but tenacious reporter Bobbie Logan (Marjorie Reynolds) doesn't buy it. Consequently, Logan enlists the help of Mr. Wong, who easily clears Fleming of the crime, but has a much harder time trying to track down the true killer in this fast-paced and entertaining mystery.
