English Another treat for advanced connoisseurs of the strangest years of Czechoslovak film. If you're gonna turn the world upside down, do it properly. Have the women do the building, instruct the old craftsmen, and most importantly, strengthen the collective. Although the smile stiffens when meeting classic personalities of pre-war culture, Mrázek, Fiala, and Vojta performed in a completely different repertoire before the war. It is somewhat embarrassing to force them to act alongside the promising and progressive youth represented here by Pehr and Vendlová. But whoever can laugh heartily at old Czech films can enjoy this one as well. ()
