When the head doctor of Stephens Sanitarium - a cutting-edge facility for the criminally insane - attempts to make a break-through in treatment by letting patients act out their twisted fantasies, things go horribly awry. Instead of finding a means to an end, the doctor meets his demise at the sharp end of an axe.
