Writing Home

A small bark beetle girl lives in peace on a tree in a forest. However, the woods burn down in a fire caused by irresponsible humans and the girl loses her hand during the blaze. She gets lost in a human city and must face the dangers of living amongst giants. Luckily, she finds shelter in a human school and using her new arm as a pencil, discovers a new talent of hers: writing. She spends a year in the school and enjoys studying, but misses her family and can’t get back home on her own. She befriends a human girl through writing, who is willing to help her. (FamuFest)
