Vincent

Troubled writer, Vincent, escapes to an isolated retreat, determined to complete his first novel. However, his solitude is short lived as a dark force suddenly encroaches and Vincent becomes immersed in an violent and cathartic awakening. Vincent constantly feels the presence of something unseen around him. Unfortunately, the people orbiting the writer are left with the aftermath as the titular beast makes itself known in shocking ways. Vincent blames himself for these incidents, but did they truly happen? Or, is the beast just the machinations an overly imaginative writer? Alan King’s fantastical drama is anything but ordinary, and it is a film viewers will not soon forget. (Cinequest Festival)
