Take a creepy old Hollywood mansion, a naive young man and a pretty girl. The film "Ghoulies" is not able to decide what it actually is. Whether it is a horror, or a comedy, or a serious film. In the end, it doesn't really matter, because neither aspect works. The film is not funny and it's definitely not scary, because you don't have a chance to get into the film in any way. It lacks atmosphere, it lacks a normal flow of the plot. Everything feels forced and unfortunately, it's not just the actors' fault.
