English Personally I didn’t like the opening and closing vaudeville sing-song parts at all. But when it starts telling the “legend of the human kind" it gets a lot more interesting. Too bad the makers push their praiseworthy idea so hard that you soon get fed up with their blackmailing methods. Taken from today’s perspective, of course. Back then it was greeted rather differently, which is clear from fact that this animated short was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1939. There’s nothing to fault in the animation, even from today’s point of view, let alone almost sixty years ago. ()
