Pirates

Pípí, Max and Juli run an illegal radio broadcast in the Buda mountain range, in the pick up truck of their friend and employer, Anci the bar owner. Besides, Max is also the drummer of the Jazz + Az group which play in the Café Zoo. Both Pípí and Max apply for rehearsal at the Express commercial radio. Pípí gets admitted and soon he will have a great success, yet he keeps on doing the illegal (pirate) radio as well. In the neighborhood of the apartment rented by the boys, a beautiful flute-player girl moves in. Both boys fall in total love with Márta within minutes. They get acquainted and soon it turns out that Márta is unable to part with her saxophone player husband, who lives in Vienna and is on dope. Max feels that Pípí's success is a treason, and he breaks with the pirate radio. Pípí is fed up with the ties and the stupid colleagues at the commercial radio and therefore he quits. Friendship and freedom are more important than anything else. Even, when Márta, after all, chose Max. (official distributor synopsis)
