Avery's typical short anecdotes, which turn notorious things on their head, this time he combines turning pages in a calendar. Some of the jokes were more successful (George Washington and the cherry tree, the fox and the Easter bunny), some less so (the ending with the allegorical chariots) and some were quite unexpected (Valentine's Day, with the diploma in the bread line).
