An uncomplicated comedy that doesn't aim for any higher goals, with its main attraction being Kurt Russell. The film's rating depends on the willingness to accept the childish script, which, as evidenced by the two stars I gave it, I couldn't quite manage. The bloodthirsty Cuban pirates and other scriptwriter's innovations didn't impress me much. However, within the director's created world, everything works as it should. Russell, Martin Short, and ultimately the other actors overact as much as they can, but within this silly context, it just suits their roles. The film is best used as relaxation after demanding mental work. Overall rating: 40%.
