English Sly had this strange period at the turn of the millennium. He made bad movies and every now and then he did something decent. Well, it definitely wasn’t his top period compared to today when he’s gotten back to Mt. Olympus. For instance, this movie is a pretty decent example of a romantic comedy. However, at times it is incredibly kitchy. For instance, I thought the ending was gonna make me go mad. It’s a romantic story featuring the ripped Sly. On the other hand, I respected his character. It was this natural, good-guy character that you will like whenever you see him. Here, you take it for a fact and you also accept the fact that this is a crazy romantic movie written by Rosamunde Pilcher. So, the two-star rating is only thanks to Sly. Without him I would have clearly booed this movie. ()
