English A legendary B-movie that is a class better than the one-year-older Bloodsport. The fights are intense and well-shot, and Van Damme tries much harder to act, so occasionally, he even succeeds in some facial expressions. Otherwise, the kicks are fine, the villain is weaker, but the atmosphere of Bangkok and some scenes are fantastic. The best shot is when Van Damme goes into the dressing room with the Thai master, captivating, atmospheric, and demonic sequence. ()

English This movie doesn't really deserve this rating, it's quite a classic story of revenge, in this case, a sports one, but JCVD is absolutely amazing in it and besides, this is a movie that I saw several times when I was little. I have it in my heart and can't get it out. "Kickboxer" is simply a movie about how a person can rise up. It's nothing else than the main hero pursuing his goal and in the end, giving the villain a good kicking. But really, a good kicking. ()
