A bus convoy of prisoners is in a highway accident, deliberately caused by the partner of one of the prisoners. The partner is shot fatally and the escaped convict ends up on the property of a beautiful young widow who's being threatened into selling her land by a vicious wealthy developer. Why Jean-Claude Van Damme took on such a serious role remains an unresolved mystery to this day. But it’s not so tragic. Jean's character remains somewhat shrouded in mystery and we don't learn much about his motives and past, but the attention is drawn to Rosanna Arquette in the role of an emancipated woman with two children, and the heartless magnates led by a devilish Ted Levine. The action is decent, the sex is better, and the final clichés are not missing either. A classic 90s snack.

A classic, average Van Damme flick. It’s nothing to write home about, but in its time it held its own. Today, however, things aren’t so good for Jean-Claude.
