Beverly Garland plays a lady marshall, taking over the job after her husband's been murdered. John Ireland is a gunman hired by the evil woman saloonkeeper to kill Garland. He falls for her instead, and, torn between love and duty, Garland chooses the latter, killing Ireland in the end. (official distributor synopsis)
