Alice is happily married to Sam living in what seems to be a story book lifestyle. But on Valentine's Eve, Alice receives a Valentine card anonymously sent by Sam's best friend Archie, who is quietly in love with her. Convinced that the note is from her husband, she sends an anonymous card to Sam who thinks it's from another woman. When Sam hides the card from Alice, she decides to test her husband's faithfulness by pretending to be a secret admirer. What starts off as a silly prank escalates into phone sex, anonymous meetings and a shocking revelation about her husband. (official distributor synopsis)

English All in all, it’s an average romcom with a British touch (which I don't like much). If it weren't for the adorable Jenn Love and her accent, it would be weaker. It's a joy to see the transformations she makes with her character. For fans of Jenn Love, it’s a safe bet, and for everyone else, it’s a regular affair that doesn't offend. ()

English This rather peculiar romantic comedy is a mix of slightly satirical with tired clichés. The frequent occurrence of quite brutal vulgarisms is surprising, considering the moderate plot and the overall easygoing atmosphere. The simple plot is built both on several specific scenes and on fairly decent actors. ()

English A very bad, stupid, boring an uninteresting film. The writers apparently decided to make an idiot out of (literally) every character that appears in The Truth About Love during its hour and a half. And they were very successful. ()
