Two youngsters set out with a newly-rescued polar bear cub to find their pilot father, whose plane went down while flying medical supplies to remote settlements in Alaska's vast wilderness. Beautiful scenery, a likeable and believable Thora Birch, and Charlton Heston, who handled the role with relative dignity, although he is a typically simple villain from children's films. That’s it.
