Holly Hamilton (Duff) is on a mission to find her single mom (Locklear) a perfect man. Even if she has to make that man up! Without other options, she creates an imaginary secret admirer based on a charming restaurateur (Noth). But this scheme keeps Holly on her toes more than it actually sweeps her mother off her feet. The film is very weak, with a plot that is beyond predictable. Hilary Duff is pathetic, the humor is almost childish at times, and the perfect man is played by Mr. Big (who else?). It wouldn’t be complete without a Spelling Bee contest so that the main character's younger sister, too, can show what a picture-perfect family they are.
