English I expected quite some bullshit, but it ended up being good fun. The middle part, in particular, was beautifully insane. It’s a pity the ending, that voodoo shaman ruined it. 60% ()

English Unfortunately, the last few minutes ruin the overall fairly decent impression of the movie. The plot is fairly solid and pleasantly moderated, and there was even a touch of realism here and there (some strong dialogues and decent performances), but all of that is completely wasted in the last five minutes. I consider the voodoo motives and Billy Zane's final “transformation” to be absolute nonsense. Kelly Brook is attractive, but clearly the weakest of the three actors. I didn't expect much, and I didn't get much. ()

English If you want to watch a film that starts at sea and is a thriller or horror, the story can usually go three ways (shipwreck, attack by the pirates or a psychopath, or an encounter with a sea predator well-equipped in the dental area). Of course, it can also be a combination of the above. There isn't much in the way of surprise here, so it depends on how the premise gets handled by the filmmakers. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment, since the authors didn't do a very good job. The idea of a relationship triangle wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t used to its full potential. The island was quite boring, and Kelly Brook didn't exactly shine in her role. Nevertheless, she fulfilled her task very well - although the island didn’t offer any breathtaking scenery, Kelly Brook’s curves more than made up for this shortcoming. ()
