This ironic comedy is set in the god-forsaken Kiskúnbékás, at the end of the fifties. There are no jobs, the town's "golden team", who once were third class national soccer players have scattered. Köves, owner of the people's shop, soccer-coach, centre and captain, tries to establish a case-producing factory in the middle of the soccer-field and does not ask for the permission of the council president, Virág. The whole village is in fever and the commuters can also return. Virág uses the chaos to put an end to the "bourgeois anarchy" and denounces himself for incorrect grants. But instead of removing him, the government gives him a new medal. Köves, driven away from the factory removes the medal off the proud council president's waistcoat. (official distributor synopsis)
