1952. The workers who have performed the reconstruction of the bridges are now needed at the construction works of the underground railway. During admission they are diluted with elements of doubtful fame and many of them are in a bad mood for the wages, too. The old-style engineer Forba looks at the appointment of young Váradi Géza disapprovingly and he promotes a sabotage action while he is in Moscow on a training program. The situation is saved by the undeservedly set side father of engineer Váradi and the workers who have been educated to show solidarity and to acknowledge each others values in hard work. Friendships and loves are developing, which help the weak stand their place as well. (official distributor synopsis)
