Briar-Rose or the Sleeping Beauty

Plots(1)

A famous fairy-tale is just a pretext to think about what would happen if the story was real and what might be the "real" roots of the legend about the spindle and the sleeping beauty. The author, an excellent Japanese animator who considers himself a pupil of Trnka, chose for the background of the story the architecture of southern Bohemia, and the whole film is done as a traditional Czech puppet animation.
