Sandra Bullock stars as a bumbling female FBI agent assigned to go undercover as a participant in the Miss United States beauty pageant when it is discovered that one of the contestants is being targeted for murder. Benjamin Bratt leads the undercover team, while also playing the reluctant love interest. Candice Bergen and William Shatner manage the pageant and hire Michael Caine to turn Bullock from rough and tumble agent to stunning beauty queen. The physical transformation is impressive, although the klutzy personality remains. Everything seems to be fine once the killer is suddenly caught, but Bullock suspects there is more to this story, and the truth eventually unfolds with an unexpected twist. English Sandra Bullock is a hard-working girl, she even produced this film herself, but no matter how hard she may try, she cannot hide her acting – not to say comedy – ineptitude. There are plenty of funny scenes, but it's so dumb that it makes you puke. However, one scene is worth mentioning, when Sandra comes out of the hangar with her new supermodel look. She is hot, I have to give her that. ()

English For me personally, it's good entertainment that pokes fun at the modeling industry, an entertainment industry that I find incredibly distasteful. Sandra Bullock and Michael Caine are flawless as a variation of Miss Doolittle and Professor Higgins... and when William "Captain Kirk" Shatner comes into the picture, it's all over:-))) ()

English Regardless of how silly it was, I must admit I really enjoyed this film. Agent Hart was perfectly cynical (at least on the outside), had a unique laugh, masterfully played on glasses of water, and, with enough padding, she could get a job as a beer maid at Oktoberfest. On the other hand, the story couldn't have been simpler and more predictable. I hadn't considered Sandra Bullock a great actress until Crash (2004) (although I’ve always found her nice to look at). I should really give the film three stars tops, but I just can’t bring myself to do it. I had a decent time practically against my will and even the lame ending couldn't spoil it for me. I was made to feel good (almost by force), which I've got to appreciate. / Lesson: Even the silliest skill can come in handy in life. ()
