English Although this isn’t a completely original idea, how it enthralls the viewer not only via the magic of the silver screen is certainly excellently done, no doubt about it. The first half with the silent movie era, through slapstick up to the segment with Leone is almost perfect. It is inventive, fast paced, humorous and perfectly filmed, so it will certainly delight movie enthusiasts. The problems start with the second half which turns into a slap-dash pile of references one after another. Star Wars! Titanic! Costner! The Exorcist! Monty Python! Singing in the Rain! Mary Poppins! And this and then that... I think the only one missing is Chuck Norris. And this is where the fun stops. And you also begin to notice that Martin Short isn’t really even nice, let alone funny. ()
