I almost died of boredom, which is quite unfortunate for a comedy lasting just under an hour and a half. Perched on a Tree has an interesting premise about a trio of people stuck in a car on a rock on a pine(!), but the execution is bland. Louis de Funès unfortunately has minimal room for his unmistakable acting, and in fact the rest of the cast have basically nothing to play with properly. The last third is unnecessarily drawn out and without any memorable scenes. The funniest moment was the boat scene, otherwise it's a genre-mismanaged sequence of futile scenes.
