Lin (Takeshi Kaneshiro, House Of The Flying Daggers) is a moviestar shooting a musical about a love triangle directed by Nie Wen (Jacky Cheung), the charismatic paramour of Sun (Zhou), the film's leading lady who is also Lin's ex-lover.
