English Igor suffers from several classic screenwriting clichés, which unfortunately turn an interestingly dark animation into a bland spectacle intended primarily for children (although it doesn't look like that at first). It is slightly above average thanks to the characters, such as a sensational undead rabbit longing for death, as well as the scripted allusions to various horror films (Frankenstein is obvious to everyone, but concepts like Braindead and Jekyll and Hyde are also included, although in the female versions of Jaclyn and Heidi), well-chosen voice actors (the lisp of Cusack, Buscemi's rabbit or Cleese's half-crazy Dr. Glickenstein), decent if not dazzling animation, and Patrick Doyle's excellent score (even he pokes a little fun at his own Frankenstein here). So I'll give it three stars. ()
