The follow-up to the nerve-twisting 2004 Thai original, Art of The Devil 2 chronicles the horrifying exploits of a seductive elementary school teacher named Miss Panor. Captivated by her beauty and desperate to win her heart, several of the village men simultaneously cast a Love Spell on her. But that many spells is too much for one woman to handle, and Miss Panor soon begins to lose her grip on reality. What really bothers me is the fact that this is quite an American horror in some places, that there is a very apparent inspiration from Western film-making style. I would almost say that it is closer to American horror than to Japanese, from which it heavily borrowed in at least the first part. There aren't as many Thai elements here, perhaps only those really violent scenes, which you can also see in American movies, just not always with such brutality. More Asian elements would certainly not hurt.
