Plots(1)

Arthur is thrilled because tonight sees the end of the moon's tenth cycle and he will at last be able to return to the land of the Minimoys and be reunited with Selenia. In the village, the Minimoys have prepared a huge banquet in his honor, and the little princess has put on her rose petal dress. But Arthur's father chooses this eagerly awaited day to announce that he is cutting short their vacation at Granny's house. Then, as they are about to leave, a spider deposits a grain of rice, with an S.O.S. engraved on it, in Arthur's hand.

There's no doubt about it, Selenia is in danger! Arthur doesn't think twice about flying to her rescue. Even if it means improvising a perilous passage, falling head first into Max's bar, bumping into the troops of Kröb, the new tyrant of the Seven Kingdoms, saving Betameche's skin, fighting rats, frogs and hairy spiders... Only to discover, when he arrives at the Minimoy village, that they never sent him a call for help! Who could possibly have laid such a cunning trap for our young hero? English This is definitely the weakest part of the Invisibles trilogy, it works more as a bridge between the first and the third part than as a standalone film, and it is especially a fertile ground for the conclusion of the trilogy, so it is important to watch the third part right away to achieve some effect. Some of the ideas were nice, but it often slipped into the dull and sometimes slightly embarrassing. In short, a film that was made solely to set the mood for the final part. ()

English It's utterly terrible in that Hallmark kind of way, but I somehow take it as a cheap alternative to those giant Pixar/DreamWorks productions, compared to which it's not as capable of masking what a terrible load of tripe it is. If David Bowie did the voice of Maltazard in the first one and Lou Reed in the second, I expect he could be dubbed in the third one by, say, Lešek Semelka. ()

English For the second part, at least the main actors were able to be cast, without whom it would not be possible. Freddie Highmore returned, his grandmother Mia Farrow, and as for the animated ones, they all returned, only with different voices. Selena Gomez got the voice of Selenia, which is closer to her character and name, plus she is the same age as Freddie Highmore. Maltazard got the voice of Lou Reed, which is also not bad, and vocally, half of Black Eyed Peas - Will.i.am and Fergie - are also featured in the film. Why am I talking so much about interesting voices? Because I literally can't stand this film. I was expecting how the quite interesting story would continue, but instead of any continuation, I got a stretched mess where nothing happens at all. The whole thing is based on the fact that Maltazard wants to get into the human world, which he eventually succeeds in, and that's where it ends, and the viewer has to wait for the last part. It's a shame, if it had been made only as a duology, maybe it would have turned out better and it wouldn't have been such an empty mishmash. I'm really sorry because of these actors, and also because of the world that looked really cool, but "Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard" is absolutely about nothing. And what is supposed to be that revenge anyway? More: http://www.filmovy-denik.cz/2012/06/past-na-zraloka-21-jump-street.html ()
